We were in town to watch a Dodger game and to celebrate my little sisters birthday so we decided to have a nice dinner. We were even welcomed to stay to allow us time to relax and enjoy the ambiance. Both rooms may be combined to accommodate a larger party of up to 48 guests. Our belief is this occured as we mentioned when we checked in we were from out of town and our first time there. My wife had the fresh halibut and I had the surf and turf. However, the real shock was when we were taken to our table, we noticed moments later this other couple who arrived 45 minutes before their proper reservation were seated at a window table.
Super hot and full of flavors. Nice relaxing ambiance with very little noise. The rest of the staff made sure we never ran out of anything and cleared plates and silverware as fast as we were finished with them. The ambiance was fabulous, except for the noise level. This only mildly shocked us since the front desk lady knew we heard the whole conversation and she even looked at us when they walked past to be seated.
It was a wonderful experience. We were in town for a convention and saw several people from the convention. Overall a great experience and we definitely plan to return. When we arrived our table wasn't ready but the hostess said it would be about 10mins and sure enough she was right. We were seated upstairs and it was very noisy. A table that was obviously available and we were told wasn't.
The bar area downstairs seemed so much quieter, I wish we would have just sat down there. We requested a window table but were told they were all filled. We were given a complementary glass of wine when we arrived and a free desert after the meal to celebrate our anniversary. My wife and I went to Ocean Prime for our 50th wedding anniversary. Whether it's an elegant private dinner or a red carpet evening, we look forward to helping you create something special. We enjoyed the lamb and sautéed shrimp twice. We had a fabulous time.
The place was quite packed for a Friday night. Our dessert was exactly as good as our entrees. Our executive chef uses only the finest and freshest ingredients to create inventive preparations of traditional favorites. This left a very bad impression of the restaurant for the entire evening and we will not return. Ocean Prime at Larimer Square features five stunning private dining spaces: The Board Room accommodates up to 14 guests and The Club Room accommodates up to 16 guests; Our glass enclosed Table 50 accommodates up to 8 guests; Prime Room 1 accommodates up to 24 guests and Prime Room 2 accommodates up to 22 guests. Our server, Steven, was fantastic. Luscious dark woods, blue accent lighting, fireplaces, and soft seating throughout the restaurant create a wonderful ambiance.
We wanted something special and we were not disappointed. Luscious dark woods, blue accent lighting, fireplaces, and soft seating throughout the restaurant create a wonderful ambiance. The Black Orchid Martini were also delicious. Perhaps the other couple were known diners, but we were there for our proper time, the other couple were not. Very attentive with out bothering us.
The upper terrace accommodates up to 70 guests. While waiting, another couple came in and stated they had a reservation for 6:00, but asked if they could be seated early. We create an extraordinary supper club experience serving the freshest seafood, prime steaks, handcrafted cocktails and world-class wines in a warm, welcoming atmosphere with genuine hospitality. The food was great and comparable to other places with similar menus that we have eaten at. The waiters and staff were extremely nice and very efficient. Whether it's an elegant private dinner or a red carpet evening, we look forward to helping you create something special.
However, the low rating overall was due to the front desk personnel that seated us. Food was excellent, but a little pricey. The creme brulee was creamy and the sugar on top was the way it should be. Our entrees on the other hand were absolutely delicious. .
The service was fantastic, never had to ask for anything as the server was on top of everything, and he made great recommendations. For appetizers we had the lobster bisque and even though it was good I have to admit that it is not the best that I have had at a restaurant flemings steak house is better in my opinion, it's much more savory. Out of town diners be warned, we doubt this was a first time incident. The drinks were delicious as well. They are telling the truth when they say they use prime beef. We checked in at exactly the correct time.
The lady running the front desk said of course, then handed the seating host their ticket in front of us and seated them first, even though we were there exactly on time and they were not. I love Ocean Prime in Denver. The hostess was exceptional and made happy hour happier. We had reservations for an early dinner at 5:15. The hostess let us know when happy hour was about to end, it was greatly appreciated. . .
